my apartment

this is half of me and rebekah's bedroom (its really hard to photograph rooms)

we have some sweet tiled floors

a handle on our doors into the living room

this is piazza del popolo. it is a 5 minute walk from my school.

this is the pantheon

i really like our tiles.

this is our hallway. this is what you would see right as you walk in.

part of our living room.

another part of our living room.

the big bathroom.

as you can see, i have been really blessed with an awesome apartment!

i had a wonderful time in florence. i saw sooo much art, it was overwhelming, but it was an amazing experience. i had a lot of fun just walking around the city with my friends. the highlights were seeing "David" by Donatello, and the Doumo by Brunaleski (sp?). it was huge. i will post pictures of my trip eventually. on saturday night a group of about 9 of us got to have dinner with our professor. it was really fun. he bought all of us wine and appitizers. he calls appitizers "nibblers". he is british and has a really stong english accent. he is one of my favorite professors.

this week has been slow moving. but i am excited for this weekend. my roommate, rebekah, is going to dublin for the weekend, so my friend sarah is going to come over and we are going to do fun things all weekend. one of those things is going to be making paper for our projects we are working on, so that should be fun.

Cori - I loved looking at all your pictures. Now, when I think of you, I can see more in my mind. What a cool experience you are having. Savor every minute - it will be over before you know it. lost of love, Aunt Diane

Love the camara moments. I'm a visual learner, so pictures speak loudly and carry lots of meaning. Everything lots clean and neat, good job. I'd stil like to see more of your kitchen. How long does it take to walk to school?
Think about what I said about a month pass for transportation. I'd feel better about you being out by yourself, if you were using public trans. instead of walking late at night. And get an umbrella! Love ya, especially dry and cozy.

Are those Dutch Bliz cards laying on the living room table? Go Girl!!

I heard from some friends, that play with Amish....they like to play fast dutch bliz....your numbers pile can go up or down. So it's almost like the pile never gets taken out you just have lots of stacks...unless you decided to make a rule that they can be grabbed out when a 10 is on top.
Try it...

wow--your apartment is really cool! I like the tiled floors a lot, too! and that door handle was pretty sweet--looks like the place has a lot of character. that's so nice to have such a comfy, clean, nice looking place to live in while you're there! have fun this weekend with sara! :-) sounds like you're in for a fun time! nate and I will be celebrating our anniversary this weekend! I'm excited...we're going to go to central market on Sat. and prolly get lunch, and then we got a movie from the library we're gonna watch, that's special to us cuz its a romantic movie we watched a lot when we were dating; its called Lorna Doone. And then Sun. and Mon. we'll be at the bed and breakfast, and nate's taking me out to dinner on the 11th to the Revere Tavern. And of course we have to eat the top of our wedding cake, in there sometime, and watch our wedding on dvd. :-) well, I love you girl so much! And I'm so happy you're still havin' a blast over there! talk to you soon!
