defeating the first week of school

today i had my first sculpture class. i really like it. me and sarah will be splitting a small studio space. i am excited about that. i am also excited that there is a sewing machine in the sculpture bay. its time for me to start deciding what kind of work i want to make this semester. today the scupture professor made coffee for us and then he took us to some places in rome where we can buy various materials. they dont have stores like wal-mart or home depot here. all of the store are small and locally owned. it can be annoying when you don't know where to go for something specific but there is something fascinating about it-its more authentic.

after sculpture sarah and i went to the bakery again and then to a sandwhich place near school.

then i had italian class and then printmaking class.

and now i am tired. but the good news is that it is the weekend! we don't have school on fridays (only my university, not all of rome) so my weekend starts now.

So glad you can enjoy your weekend. Is the Sara you talk about the same Sara that you roomed with last year?
If so, I'm glad you get to hang around with her. Maybe you can get to church this Sunday. Let me know how you like it. I think you'll to fabulious in sculpture. You seem a natural for that. Make me something pretty. Love ya!

hello, hello my dearest corpussel! hope your weekend is filled with lots of really fun and new experiences! sounds like you are ahving the time of your life over there! nate and I are having fun living here at his parent's house! playing with the dogs, keeping the fire in the wood stove going, using the Internet and their hot tub...its been a nice change, from normal life. :-) melissa is leaving in 2 days for her trip to France and Spain, so I hung out with her yesterday and we had a really great time together! I am so thankful for how our friendship has been getting stronger again! I love you my sweet cousin, and of course I miss you...but life is good, for both of us, so I won't dwell on missing you..cuz it only will make me sad. nate and I are going to go on a walk so I'll write to you another time! bye, bye! ~Dar

Thanks for the clarification on no-school-fridays. You are our link to Rome, Cori, and you're doing a good job of not misrepresenting it to us! Consider that pressure! hahaha

Hope you enjoy this Friday! I love hearing about your experiences, and how God is working. I hope you get to go to a church meeting this weekend!

Cor, I have to tell you a funny story that just happened at Grandma Weavers house. I saw Gabby, and we were in the kitchen. I told her that you called and that you say HI to Gabby.
She walked over to the telephone and brought it over to me and 'here'. She wanted me to call you, so she could say HI back. Isn't that sweet. I told her that I'd call you sometime when at her house, so she could talk to you. I'll try to do that next week. It'll probably be around 6:00 pm your time. Is it Tues. that you have later class's? Love Ya

Hi Cori! I just caught up on all of your updates. It sounds like you are having a good time. I am praying for you. Thanks for giving us specific things to pray about. I can almost smell that Italian bakery....mmmmm....Holly started classes this past week and seems to like it. It is quite different than Houghton. It seems funny to have her living at home again. We love you. Aunt Diane
