i spent 6 hours staight in the printmaking studio today. it was stressful and hard. my print isn't going the way i wanted it too. i am about half way done with it and it is due on tuesday. im sure i will get it done, and hopefully it wont be a total disaster.
yesterday started out very badly but then ended well. i went to an on-cite for my printmaking class to treve fountain which was beautiful, and it was really cool to see the prints and everything. but then........*dun dun dunnnnn* it started to rain. it wasn't falling too heavily so me and 3 of my friends decided to try and find something to eat since it was lunch time. we kept walking all around in circles in the rain thinking that we would find something affordable but everything was either really expensive or closed or something (because we were in a more touristy area). so by the time we found somewhere we were totally soaked. we dried off a little bit while we ate, and then we thought that the rain would have passed, but it hadn't. so we had the task of walking home in the rain. it started to rain more and more and more...we had to walk about an hour in it, and i didnt have an umbrella with me, and i was just wearing a sweatshirt and light jacket so i was completely drenched 100%, well maybe like 94%. it was rediculous. it felt like i went swimming in my clothes. and it was cold out so it was not a fun experience by any means. when i got a little closer to my apartment i decided to take a tram because i was so miserable. you have to cross over this intersection to get to the tram, and it is a busy area so it is usually really crowed, but no one was crossing there. then i realized no one was crossing there because there was a HUGE puddle (more like a pool) of water around the intersection. there was about 7 inches of water. i was so wet and my shoes were already completely wet so i decided to just walk though it. i was kind of embarassed because i knew people were probably watching me and im sure i looked rediculous, but i did not care....eventually i made it home. i canceled the plans i had for that night because all i wanted to do was stay in bed under to covers. so thats what i did and it was wonderful. i read, and wrote, and crocheted. walking through the cold wet rain was probably my most miserable moment since being here, but at least it ended well.
hopefully tomorrow will be a much better day. i am going to church, and then in the evening i am going to a film festival.
i hope everyone at home is enjoying the snow for me!!

aww cor, you poor thing! I can just imagine you walking thru that huge puddle! :-) I'm sorry your day went so badly! man, you must have been freezing! ...but I bet in a few weeks you'll be able to look back on that wet day, and smile...its not something that happens everyday...hehe! sounds like a wonderful evening though, in your warm bed, just chillin'.
:-) well, enjoy the film festival tomorrow night! that will be fun, I'm sure! ..if its with Gabby, or whatever. :-) I had a good day...it wasn't very exciting--I was at work the whole time so far, but I just got back, and now my weekend starts. :-) yes! American Eagle was having a huge sale at the mall, so nate and I went shopping last night and got lots of cool stuff for really cheap! it was fun! we haven't gone shopping together for a long time--cuz of wanting to save for our house. :-) k, love tons, bye!
Cori, I bet if the weather would have been warmer, you would have loved to be in the rain. You remind me of that type of person who loves to walk through the puddles instead of going around them. I know you'll reappreciate the sunshine, since your glommy, wet, cold day. It almost gets to a point when your soaked, that it dosn't matter how much more wet you get, it almost get silly. Remember I did send an umbrella along. Love Ya Lots.
cori, rome sounds pretty crazy but fun at the same time. i'm trying to make sure i read your blogs because they're interesting and a lot of the time pretty funny. and i just have to say, hope you enjoyed that film festival (i like film stuff). a film festival in rome sounds exciting.
